The purpose of this policy is to explain to you how we control, process, handle and protect your personal information through the business and while you browse or use this website. If you do not agree to the following policy you may wish to cease viewing / using this website, and or refrain from submitting your personal data to us.
What personal information do we collect?
We collect and process personal data about you when you interact with us via email, via social media, via any forms on our website, or share your personal information with us at one of our fundraising events. Depending on how you provide your information, we will collect some or all of the following information when you contact us:

Your marketing preferences, including any consents you have given us
Information on your donations to the LBMCT
In addition to this, we collect the following information from applicants to receive funding from us when they submit our Grant Review Form:
Your residential and/or business address
Your phone number
When you donate to the Trust through our JustGiving page, JustGiving shares the following information with us:
Your name
Your contact details (email address and postal address). If you are based in the UK/EU, we will only receive this if you’ve opted in to receive communications from us at point of donation

How do we use your personal information?
We may contact you via email to share information on ways to support us through future events, campaigns and appeals, or about the impact of your donation. We may also contact you in response via email, phone or social media to provide information about the Trust that you have requested.
We need to collect and store certain personal data in order that we can claim Gift Aid on your donation, if you are eligible. If you do not provide us with this information, or if you subsequently object to our using it or request that we delete it, we will be unable to claim the Gift Aid on your behalf.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We ensure the security of any personal information we hold by using secure data storage technologies and precise procedures in how we store, access and manage that information.
Data security and protection
Under the GDPR we use the consent lawful basis for anyone subscribing to our newsletter or marketing mailing list. We only collect certain data about you, as detailed in the "How do we use Personal Information " section above. Any email marketing messages we send are done so through an EMS, email marketing service provider. An EMS is a third party service provider of software / applications that allows marketers to send out email marketing campaigns to a list of users.
Email marketing messages that we send may contain tracking beacons / tracked clickable links or similar server technologies in order to track subscriber activity within email marketing messages. Where used, such marketing messages may record a range of data such as; times, dates, I.P addresses, opens, clicks, forwards, geographic and demographic data. Such data, within its limitations will show the activity each subscriber made for that email campaign.
Any email marketing messages we send are in accordance with the GDPR and the PECR. We provide you with an easy method to withdraw your consent (unsubscribe) or manage your preferences / the information we hold about you at any time. Giving and withdrawing your consent and updating your personal information
Where your consent is required for us to process your personal information, we will ask for your consent at the point at which you provide your data. Storing your personal information
Your personal information held by us will be stored in the UK. We will only keep records of your personal information for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes for which we have collected it, and in order to comply with any statutory or regulatory obligations in relation to retention of records. We respect requests to stop processing your personal data for marketing purposes. This includes keeping a record of your request indefinitely so that we can respect your request in future.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to and rectification or erasure of personal information, the right to restrict processing of your personal information, and the right to object to processing of your personal information. You have the right to object to your personal information being processed on the grounds of LBMCT's legitimate interests. You have the right to object to us sending you direct marketing and profiling you for the purposes of direct marketing. You have the right to lodge a complaint regarding our processing of your personal information with a data protection supervisory authority in a country where you live, work, or where you believe a breach may have occurred.
