What we do
The Liz Binns Melanoma Charitable Trust (LBMCT) has been established to relieve sickness and preserve the health of people suffering from melanoma and other forms of skin cancer in particular, but not exclusively, through assisting in the provision of grant funding for research into the diagnosis and treatment of melanoma.
Drawing on Liz’s lived experience of the disease, the focus of the trust is to support programmes aimed at improving treatments for patients whose disease has spread to the Central Nervous System (CNS) where the impacts are devastating causing sensory, motor, cognitive and behavioural changes. It is an area of acute unmet clinical need.
Over a two year period LBMCT expects to fund projects ultimately leading to the establishment of an intraethical therapy facility for melanoma and further projects involving development of trial phases.
We welcome applications for grants to further the aims of the charity.
